SANTA'S HOME
You knew that Santa lives in Finland but did you know that you can also go visit Santa? Yes, it is true. You can visit Santa all year around in Santa's office in the Arctic Circle. If you can't visit Santa in person you can also send him a letter. Letters can be assigned to the following address: Santa Claus, Santa Claus’s Main Post Office, 96930 Napapiiri, Finland.
Santa and Rudolph are usually an inseparable team but sometimes when Rudolf needs a break Santa hops on a fatbike.
FATBIKING IN THE WINTER WONDERLAND
Winter time, Finns like Santa, enjoy particularly fatbiking on the winter trails that take you through the picturesque crown snow-load forests, known as tykkylumi forests in Finnish. In Finland, there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing. By layering up, you can enjoy the beautiful winter colors even in way below zero degrees.
When visiting Santa in the Santa's office you can also try fatbiking on Arctic Circle Fatbike Trails. This snow biking trail network consists of approximately 25 kilometres of nice flowy singletracks at the Ounasvaara hill’s top area, just behind the river of Kemijoki. In winter, roots and rocks are covered by snow and trails are easy to ride, but same time extremely fun for even most experienced riders.
Riding in winter trails offers a unique experience and a way to enjoy the snow. Explore other Bikeland.fi winter trails through the link below.
LET'S MAKE 2022 A GREAT BIKING YEAR!
